Fango and Thermal Baths – The Secret of Ischitan Wellness

Ischia is famous for its millenary thermal tradition: the hot waters emerge naturally from the volcanic subsoil and, together with the local clay, form natural thermal muds with unique power. These muds, matured in thermal waters for months, are rich in minerals and have beneficial effects both aesthetic and therapeutic.

After the application of the hot muds, the treatment is completed with a bath in thermal water at about 37–38 °C, followed by a moment of regenerating rest, to stimulate circulation, promote drainage, and leave the skin firmer, more elastic, and radiant.
